Q: What do you do in your community?
A: I oversee a large number of social outreach projects; serve on several boards at UGA; coach baseball, basketball and football, etc.
Q: How would you characterize this career?
A: Relational style leadership; cast vision; gather people to accomplish a larger vision than any of us can do on our own; believe he is called to inspire people to see what should be and what could be if we would work and believe together, that all of us can do more than any one of us.
Q: What is a typical day/week like in your job?
A: Monday- take off; spend time with family. Tuesday- staff meetings in the am; counseling or meeting; take appts. Wednesday- half day for writing; half day for meeting and administrative work. Thursday- all day writing; no appts. Friday-9-1pm weekend preparation; finishing sermons. Saturday- church service. Sunday- church service 9 and 11am.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Seeing people change and grow. People believe in themselves threw the hope that God provides.
Q: What do you like least about your job?
A: Don’t like to see people live at a level below their full potential and never become who or what they could have become. Don’t like the stress that is often times associated.
